All Antarctic expeditions are subject to weather, sea ice, and wildlife conditions. The Captain and Expedition Team may modify the sailing route, landing sites, or Zodiac cruise schedule at any time to ensure passenger safety while providing the best possible expedition experience.
Shore landings, Zodiac excursions, and wildlife encounters are entirely dependent on environmental conditions and official expedition guidelines. Wildlife sightings, including penguins, whales, and seals, cannot be guaranteed, as animals roam freely in their natural habitat.
Guests must follow all safety instructions issued by the Captain, Expedition Leaders, and onboard staff throughout the journey. Participation in shore excursions and Zodiac landings may be restricted if weather conditions are unsafe or if guests are unable to meet the required physical fitness levels.
The expedition includes accommodation, selected meals and beverages, charter flights, transfers, onboard entertainment, Wi-Fi, gratuities, and expedition services as specified in the package. Personal expenses such as specialty dining, spa treatments, laundry, waterproof gear, travel insurance, visas, and other items not specifically mentioned remain the responsibility of the guest.
Guests are responsible for carrying valid passports, visas (if applicable), and all required travel documents before departure. The Antarctic environment is highly unpredictable, and weather, sea ice, and wildlife conditions can change rapidly. For the safety of all passengers, the Captain and Expedition Team may modify landing sites, Zodiac cruises, and sailing routes while ensuring the best possible expedition experience.
You may have the opportunity to spot Adélie, Gentoo, and Chinstrap penguins, humpback and fin whales, Weddell, leopard, crabeater, and Antarctic fur seals, dolphins, and a variety of seabirds. Wildlife sightings depend on weather and natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
Yes. Your expedition includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and selected beverages throughout the cruise. Guests can also enjoy multiple onboard restaurants, in-suite dining, and a selection of wines, spirits, and champagne as per the cruise inclusions.
It is recommended to carry warm thermal clothing, waterproof gloves, woollen socks, sunglasses, sunscreen, and personal medications. While a Silversea Parka is provided, items such as waterproof boots, waterproof pants, and trekking poles are not included and should be arranged separately if required.
No prior expedition experience is required. Professional expedition leaders, experienced crew members, and onboard naturalists will provide safety briefings, guided shore landings, Zodiac excursions, and assistance throughout the journey, making the expedition suitable for first-time Antarctic travellers.
