Weather and sea conditions permitting, the first Antarctic activities and landings may begin during the afternoon.

Depending on ice conditions, sail into the Weddell Sea and witness enormous tabular icebergs along the eastern Antarctic Peninsula. Possible landings include Paulet Island, home to large Adélie penguin colonies, and Brown Bluff, where conditions may allow you to step onto the Antarctic Continent. If the Weddell Sea is inaccessible, the expedition may instead head toward Elephant Island and the Bransfield Strait.
